The Office of Paradoxes (OPS) is one of the largest research-based divisions second to the Department of Paranormal and Supernatural Phenomena (DPSP). As its title indicates, the Office of Paradoxes is dedicated to all subjects that may demonstrate behavior that may contradict the standard laws of logic, such as non-euclidean terrain, extratemporal/supertemporal areas, and perpetual motion. Due to a plethora of acquisitions that may contain any hazard that does not adhere to the basic laws of mainstream science, the Office of Paradoxes is regarded as one of the most vital research departments as well.
As to accommodate the requirements prompted by the Foundation's objective, the Office of Paradoxes has divided itself into three departments, two of which are further divided into four more divisions. The departments are further detailed in the Formation & Structure segment of this document. The Office in general makes up more than 1/4 of the Research Department's budget due to the amount of equipment relevant for resuming any of the prompted primary assignments. The aforementioned primary assignments is further detailed on Contributions & Assignments and History.

Office Report#: OPS-008910
Colloquial: Ghosting Around
OCC Color: APPARITION RED
Overview: Circa 2005, SCiPNET Archivists have reported to RAISA of staff titles that do not belong to any existing personnel, as well as personnel who have worked under Foundation custody for more than 2 decades that lack staff titles. This has understandably caused issues regarding archiving and recordkeeping. Several theories have been made regarding what the phenomenon is or what the cause may be, but it until the time of writing remains undisclosed.
