Reeves looked down at his phone, the darkness of the forest he was in making the phone the only light. That was, if you didn't count the forest fire raging in front of him. Thankfully, he had made his suit flame-retardant a while back. Jose seemed to have forgotten the 'flame' and 'ant' though. He clicked at his phone with his pointer finger, resting his phone on his left hand.
He put his phone in his pocket and began to march into the forest, containment gear on the ready. Reality Benders are usually very hard to contain, but thankfully Reeves stole borrowed a Portable Scranton Reality Anchor from Head Researcher Sekiyo. He was looking through the forest when -
God damn it.
He pocketed his phone once more, putting away his Anchoring device. He, instead, readied his restraints. He charged deeper into the forest, firing the new spread of the fire along the way to his target. This would be a lot easier if we had GOC. Maybe he could make use of a paralyzing memetic? But where would he make one? Oh well. Stealth would do. They can't effect you if they can't perceive you. The one weakness of Bending. He used his Z92 Holographic Visual Sight to see if the Bender was around, and he's just not seeing him. He took a breath through his gas mas-
Reeves looked down at his phone. A notification was just sent, only reading a location in coordinates. He plugged it into Google Maps and followed it, not paying mind to the burning forest around him. When he arrived, he saw three people, all very different.
There was Val, the Deceiver. He was in a tree. That tree was on fire, but he evidently didn't care. He was just watching, taking in everything that was going on.
Closer to the ground was Jose, the Believer. He was… doing some sort of praise? It looked? That or he was summoning Apakht from a circle of burning blood, and Reeves couldn't care less which. What he did care about was…
The Bender. He was… meditating… in a circle of fire? At least it seemed that way. It would be all too easy to detain the suspect here, but he had to be quiet. He hid behind some trees to get behind the Bender, then beginning to leap forward and-
Fuck it.
I have a flame-retardant suit.
I can DO this.
Reeves charged at the Type Green, before getting hit with a blast of flame. The flame conformed to his suit, though not piercing. Reeves tried to pat them off, but they wouldn't go away.
Eternal flame?
But he was getting side-tracked.
He drew his foot back and kicked the Bender in the back, disrupting their bending. The Bender began to do something else before being greeted with a bullet to the thigh, the pain interrupting him.
"Come with us willingly and I won't shoot you in the head. Deal?"
